What is Hypnonosis?

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness. While a person is in hypnosis, the conscious mind relaxes, allowing access to the highly suggestible subconscious mind. Research has shown that the electricity in the brain changes during hypnosis: the brain waves are slower than a person who is in the normal waking state. In this state, the alpha, theta and delta states can be reached.
We naturally go into hypnosis when we daydream or watch television without distraction.
There are varying degrees of hypnosis: some people go deeply and others go lightly. Most people are in the middle.
One misconception is that people who are hypnotized are unconscious. This is false. While in hypnosis, a person maintains control and awareness.
A hypnotherapist use hypnosis as a tool to assist those who desire positive transformation in their lives.
